HONOR has quietly listed its latest smartphone, the Honor X70 Pro Max, on its official website. Emphasizing durability, long battery life, and a Chinese-inspired aesthetic, the device comes days before the X80 Pro Max is introduced in China.
The phone is available in four distinct color options: Phantom Night Black, Bamboo Rhyme Green, Sunrise Gold, and Phantom Purple.
Enhanced Durability and Display Specifications

The HONOR X70 Pro Max retains the brand’s signature star ring camera design and places a heavy emphasis on structural resilience. It has achieved the SGS Gold Label certification for 10-sided drop resistance, capable of withstanding drops from up to 2.5 meters. Additionally, the device is rated IP6X for dust resistance and IPX9K for water resistance, offering high-tier protection against environmental elements.
On the front, the device features a 6.79-inch OLED flat screen with 1.3mm ultra-narrow bezels. Key display specifications include:
- Resolution: 1.5K ultra-high resolution
- Refresh Rate: 120Hz
- Peak Brightness: 6000 nits
- Color Gamut: DCI-P3 wide color gamut
The display also incorporates HONOR Oasis eye protection technology. This suite includes 3840Hz zero-risk dimming, AI defocus eye protection, natural light emulation, an AI sleep aid display, hardware-level low blue light emission, and an ultra-dark mode for low-light environments.
Battery Performance and Charging
A core highlight of the HONOR X70 Pro Max is its silicon-carbon 8560mAh Qinghai Lake battery. HONOR states the battery is designed for longevity, supporting up to six years of healthy use. According to official benchmarks, a full charge can sustain:
- 15 hours of video calls
- 14 hours of continuous gaming
- 27 hours of short video browsing
To replenish the massive battery, the handset supports 90W SuperCharge technology.
Hardware, Software, and Connectivity
Under the hood, the device is powered by an enhanced version of Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 mobile platform. Utilizing a flagship-level architecture, it relies on an AI system-level resource scheduling engine to maintain performance. HONOR claims the hardware and software integration will ensure smooth operation for up to six years without lag.
The HONOR X70 Pro Max comes pre-installed with MagicOS 10, which introduces a lightweight OS engine designed to support fluid full-fledged animations, instant touch response, and intelligent resource allocation.
For connectivity, the phone utilizes HONOR’s Hongyan communication weak network enhancement system alongside a four-wing antenna design. This setup allows for intelligent switching across four Wi-Fi antennas and occupies 93.2% of the mid-frame area to boost signal reception. It also introduces Rider Outdoor Mode 2.0 for optimized outdoor usage.
Camera and Additional Features
The rear camera setup centers around a 50MP ultra-clear main camera. The photography experience is heavily integrated with AI utilities, including:
- AI face restoration and image cleanup
- AI anti-reflection
- AI background removal and displacement
- AI stylization
Other features
Beyond the core hardware, the HONOR X70 Pro Max includes stereo dual speakers, full-scene NFC, an infrared remote control, and a navigation system combining dual-frequency GPS and tri-frequency Beidou. Smart features include AI hearing enhancement, breath wake-up for the YOYO assistant, and an AI network lag sensing system.
