HONOR has expanded its audio portfolio in China with the launch of the HONOR Earbuds 5e alongside the HONOR X80 Pro Max smartphone. The HONOR Earbuds 5e features a semi-in-ear design with a curved body for a stable fit and weighs 4.0g per earbud. It is available in Moonlight White and Midnight Black color options.
The earbuds support adaptive active noise cancellation with a maximum noise reduction depth of 52dB and an average full-frequency noise reduction depth of 28dB. The system automatically adjusts to the surrounding environment and offers three noise cancellation modes:
- Light: For quieter places such as libraries
- Moderate: For streets and everyday outdoor use
- Deep: For noisy environments such as subways
For audio, the HONOR Earbuds 5e is equipped with a custom 12mm Hi-Fi dynamic driver featuring a diamond-like amorphous carbon (DLC) dome diaphragm. According to HONOR, the diaphragm offers higher rigidity than conventional titanium or gold-plated materials, while the driver delivers a transient response time of under 60µs and total harmonic distortion below 0.2% at 1kHz (1mW, 0dBFS). The redesigned acoustic cavity is intended to provide a wider soundstage.
