HONOR X80 Pro Max with 6.8″ 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, IP69K ratings, 11000mAh battery announced


HONOR has officially announced the launch of its latest smartphone, the HONOR X80 Pro Max, as it had promised. Positioned as a highly durable device with an emphasis on battery longevity, the smartphone introduces several industry-first features.

Battery and Charging Performance

The defining feature of the Honor X80 Pro Max is its 11,000mAh Qinghai Lake battery, marking it as the largest battery capacity in Honor’s smartphone lineup to date.

  • Charging Capabilities: The device supports 90W wired fast charging alongside 27W reverse charging, allowing it to function as a power source for other devices.
  • World Record: Ahead of its release, the phone secured a Guinness World Record for the “Longest Live Stream Test of Mobile Phone Battery Life,” clocking in at 26 hours, 8 minutes, and 34 seconds of continuous streaming.
Rugged Durability and Certifications

Honor has heavily emphasized the structural resilience of the X80 Pro Max, aiming for high environmental and water resistance.

  • Drop Resistance: The phone has earned the SGS Gold Label 5-Star environmental drop resistance certification. It is rated to withstand drops from heights of up to 3 meters. Furthermore, Honor is offering an industry-first 2-year free screen replacement service with the device.
  • Waterproofing: The X80 Pro Max features triple IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications. It can handle water immersion up to a depth of 10 meters, with Honor claiming structural integrity for up to 100,000 water immersions.
Display and Design

The smartphone comes in four distinct color options: Vibrant Orange, Lightning Red, Moonlight White, and Mystic Black.

The front of the device showcases a high-brightness screen framed by a 1.3mm ultra-narrow bezel. It has a 1.5K 120Hz panel with up to 10,000 nits  peak brightness.

Hardware and Software Integration

Under the hood, the HONOR X80 Pro Max is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 mobile platform.

On the software side, it runs MagicOS 10.0 (based on Android 16) out of the box. The operating system is optimized via the new Honor Hummingbird Architecture 2.0, which utilizes intelligent memory cleanup to ensure the device remains stable and smooth for a projected six years of use.
