Google reportedly testing Ultra-wideband support with the Pixel 6

Last month, rumours surfaced about Google working on their own custom-designed processor for smartphones, codenamed “Whitechapel” or GS101. According to Mishaal Rahman, who is the editor-in-chief at XDA, Google is testing support for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology on a device codenamed “Raven”, which is rumoured to be powered by the GS101 SoC.

Unicode Emoji 14.0 to feature 25 skin tone combinations for handshakes

Over the years, the Unicode Consortium, the organization behind Emojis, has steadily updated the list of emoji to ensure it remains inclusive and relevant to the times. Alphabet records $55.3 billion in revenue and 17.9 billion in profits in Q1 2021

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, YouTube and others, released their earnings report yesterday for the first quarter of 2021. The company posted a total revenue of $55.31 billion in revenue, which calculates to a growth of 34% YoY. Net income for the company was $17.93 billion, with an operating income of $16.43 billion.

Google announces Rs. 135 crore in new funding to help with the Indian COVID-19 crisis

In an effort to help India, as the country is experiencing its second wave of the COVID-19 outbreak, Google has announced that they will be donating Rs. 135 crore in funding towards organizations that are providing help. The company has also announced Rs. 112 Crore in Ad grants to help local health authorities and nonprofits circulate information about the vaccines.
