ASUS today announced that it will start selling the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate 18GB RAM with 512GB Storage version in India on Flipkart priced at Rs. 79,999 starting from 26th December 2021 at 12 noon. This comes after the company started selling the base ROG Phone 5 version in Black back in April. The company even introduced the ROG Phone 5s model with Snapdragon 888+ in August in some markets. ASUS has confirmed the Android 12 roll out schedule for its Zenfone and ROG phone models, soon after Google rolled out Android 12 update for its Pixel devices. ASUS said that it has already recruited Zenfone 8 users for the Android 12 beta testing program, which will help identify and fix bugs based on real user experiences before the final software that will roll out in December. When it comes to laptops, there is a constant struggle between power and portability. For the longest time, manufacturers could not create a laptop that is both powerful or portable, largely due to the limitations of thermals. One solution is to have an external GPU enclosure that connects to a laptop via a Thunderbolt port. In theory, the solution is great, however there were limitations with the port’s bandwidth that didn’t allow for the full utilization of an external desktop GPU.
