Amazon today updated its Kindle app that brings All-New Design and several new features. Amazon says that the new look is built around the books you love. You can between the new light theme or existing dark theme. You can quickly navigate with one-tap access to the things you use most, including your most recent book. U.S. users also get new community tab featuring Goodreads discovery and discussion features on Kindle for iOS.

Amazon introduces new Kindle Oasis with 7-inch display, waterproof body, price starts at Rs. 21999 in India

Amazon just introduced a new Kindle Oasis eReader, successor of last year’s model. It has a larger 7-inch 330PPI, compared to 6-inch screen in the predecessor and is also the first waterproof (IPX8) Kindle that can stand immersion in up to 2 meters of fresh water for up to 60 minutes. It can also withstand getting splashed at the beach or dropped in the bath tub, hot tub, or pool. It has the same thickness of just 3.4mm at its thinnest point (to 8.3 mm), but it is slightly heavier at 194 grams. Amazon launches new Echo, Echo Plus and Echo Dot in India starting at Rs. 4,499

Amazon has launched three Alexa powered smart speakers – Echo, Echo Plus, and Echo Dot in India. The devices were expected to be launched in the country before Diwali. The new Echo and Echo Plus smart speakers were announced last week in the US.

Amazon to soon hike Prime membership price from Rs. 499 to Rs. 999 per year

Amazon launched its Prime delivery service in India last year in July for an introductory price of Rs. 499. However, the membership price is soon about to change. Amazon India will soon increase the subscription fee for its ‘Prime’ service to Rs 999 in India in the coming days. After rumors, Amazon has introduced its new Fire TV in a new dongle design and support for 4K Ultra HD at 60 fps, High Dynamic Range (HDR), and Alexa Voice Remote that lets you search Amazon Video content using just your voice. You can also pair Fire TV to Echo devices to enjoy hands-free, far-field voice control, powered by Alexa. It is also much lighter than the 2015 model at just 87 grams. Amazon has announced new Fire HD 10 Tablet, an upgrade to its 2015 model. It has a 10.1-inch widescreen 1080p Full HD display, compared to WXGA screen in the predecessor and is also 30% faster with 2x the RAM and a better quad-core processor. It also comes with Alexa hands-free for the first time in the  Fire tablet that lets you just ask Alexa to control video playback (play, pause, rewind, and fast forward), launch an app, play your favorite song, or read an audiobook aloud.

Microsoft and Amazon has partnered to integrate Alexa and Cortana digital assistants. Available later this year, this collaboration will allow you to access Alexa via Cortana on Windows 10 PCs, followed by Android and iOS in the future. In return Cortana will be available on Alexa-enabled devices like the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and Echo Show.
