Facebook is taking a cue from Snapchat Stories and Instagram Stories and testing a new feature for Messenger. Dubbed as Messenger Day, the feature lets users upload photos and videos, with filters and doodle on them. You can create slideshow of these photos and videos which will disappear in 24 hours. Facebook has announced that it will stop writing descriptions for Trending topics and short story summaries. The title will now be automated using algorithm. Trending lets people discover interesting and relevant conversations happening on Facebook. According to Quartz, Facebook has fired entire editorial staff on the Trending team that had 15-18 workers. Facebook is testing Express WiFi service in India

Facebook is testing an Express WiFi service in India and is in talks with  Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for a commercial launch. The social network has completed a pilot roll out of 125 rural public Wi-Fi hotspots in the country with a tie-up with state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.
