Huawei Ascend W1 with 4-inch display, Windows Phone 8 announced


Huawei has finally announced the Ascend W1, the company’s first Windows Phone 8 device. This has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA IPS LCD display with OGS Technology that reduces the light consumption to make the screen brighter and more vivid, 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Adreno 305 GPU. It has a 5 MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. It has a 1950 mAh battery with unique power saving technology to save 30% of power. It was expected back in September, but it was delayed and was confirmed for CES 2013 in December.

The Huawei Ascend W1 comes in blue, red, black and white colors. It would go on sale in Russia and Asia starting this month, and global roll out after that. No details about the price yet.
