Apple shipped record 2.5 million iPhone units in India during 2016
Apple has reached a new milestone in terms of iPhone sales in India. The company has sold over 2.5 million units in 2016, according to a latest report from Counterpoint research. The report further revealed that a 1/3 of its total shipment coming alone from the record fourth quarter and was driven by seasonality and the launch of iPhone 7.

Apple sues Qualcomm over iPhone modem licensing deals in China, seeks 1 billion yuan
After filing a $1 billion lawsuit against Qualcomm in the U.S. saying that Qualcomm has been charging royalties for technologies they have nothing to do with, Apple has filed a similar lawsuit against Qualcomm, this time at the Beijing Intellectual Property Court in China seeking 1 billion yuan ($145.32 million) in damages. Apple to meet government officials on Jan. 25 to discuss iPhone manufacturing in India
It was reported last month that Apple is expected to start assembling iPhones in India by April 2017. Now according to a latest PTI report Apple team will meet a group of senior officials from IT and finance ministries on January 25 to discuss its demands for setting up a manufacturing unit in the country. The iPhone maker is said to also seek some incentives.

Apple said to be working on 5-inch iPhone with vertical dual cameras
Apple is said to debut a 5-inch iPhone with vertical dual cameras, according to a latest report from Japanese outlet Macotakara. Citing unnamed sources, the report said the dual-camera setup similar to what we have seen on the iPhone 7 Plus this year. However, the dual cameras will be arranged vertically and not horizontally.
