HTC Desire X is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. HTC announced the Desire X in August and it comes with a 4.0-inch (800 X 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1 GHz Dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC Sense 4.0 UI and has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash. It also has built-in Beats Audio support. Karbonn A21 and A9+ with 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Android 4.0 coming soon
Looks like Karbonn is on a launching spree. The Karbonn A11 that was listed online earlier this went on sale today. Now, the Karbonn A9+ is listed on Flipkart and the Karbonn A21 appears on the Karbonn site. The A9+ is the successor of the Karbonn A9 that was launched in July. The A9+ has a 4.0-inch (480 × 800 pixels) IPS display, while the A21 has a 4.5-inch (540 ×960 pixels) IPS display. Both these devices are powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor (According to Wikipedia, A9+ is powered by a Snapdragon S4 processor, but we have to wait for the official launch since any one can edit these details). NTT Docomo unveils 16 new devices including 9 Smartphones and a Tablet
Japan’s largest telecom operator NTT Docomo has unveiled 16 new devices including 9 Smartphones and a Tablet. Some popular phones include, Samsung Galaxy Note II SC-02E and Galaxy S3 α SC-03E in the ‘docomo NEXT Series’. They have also announced Sony Xperia AX SO-01E and LG Optimus LIFE L-02E in the ‘docomo with series’. LG announced that the LG Optimus G L-01E would got on sale on from NTT Docomo on October 19th. Vodafone to accept Aadhaar as Identity and Address proof for a new connection
Vodafone has been appointed as the official Authentication Service Agency (ASA) and Authentication User Agency (AUA) of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). They launched the Proof of Concept (PoC) for use of Aadhaar as valid Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) using the Aadhaar online authentication procedure in Andhra Pradesh. Google Nexus 7 Android 4.1.2 OTA update starts rolling out, brings landscape mode and improvements
Google has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Nexus 7. The Google Nexus 7 was unveiled in June came with Android 4.1.1 but it lacked landscape mode. The new Android 4.1.2 Over the Air (OTA) update is a minor update which is about 31MB. It brings landscape mode and improvements in performance, stability and bug fixes. The LG E960 that is rumored to be the next Nexus device was spotted running on the Android 4.1.2. LG India announces winners of Smartphone Idea Camp contest
LG Smartphone Idea Camp contest is over and the winners got away with the prize-worth Rs. 1,000,000 along with LG Smart phones as an additional prize of Rs. 500,000. LG launched the Smartphone Idea Camp contest on August 1st which received registrations from 3700 contestants and ended on 15th September, 2012. Samsung ATIV S gets priced in UK, Shipping late October
Samsung unveiled the first Windows Phone 8 device, ATIV S at IFA Berlin in August but didn’t reveal the availability or the pricing at that time. Now, UK’s online retailer Clove has announced that it is now availalble for pre-order with them and would ship at the end of this month. The Samsung ATIV S packs in a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. MTS launches MTag 353 Android Smartphone for Rs. 5999
MTS has launched their new Android Smartphone MTag 353. It is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 Processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), similar to the MTag 351, MTag 352 and MTag 281 that was launched in August.
