iOS 16 brings redesigned Lock Screen, updates to Messages, Mail, Wallet and more

Apple held their keynote event for WWDC 2022 yesterday. At the event, they unveiled the next version of their iPhone’s operating system, called iOS 16. It features a new Lock Screen with support for widgets, support for iCloud Shared Photo Library, an enhanced Visual Look Up feature, an updated Messages app, Mail app and more.

iOS 16 said to improve notifications and health tracking, but no major redesign

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, iOS 16, codenamed “Sydney,” that is expected to be unveiled at WWDC this June, will have “substantial” improvements to notifications as well as new health-tracking capabilities, but will not include a dramatic revamp of iOS.
