Apple iPhone SE 3 with 4.7-inch display, 5G support expected in March or April

Apple’s iPhone SE 3 has been in the news for quite some time now. According to Mark Gurman on Bloomberg’s Power On newsletter, Apple is gearing up its first virtual event of 2022 in March or April. At the event, the company’s is planning to introduce the new iPhone SE model along with other devices such as new 27-inch iMac and high-end Mac mini models with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips.

According to earlier rumours, the new iPhone SE will be powered by A14 / A15 Bionic processor and come with 5G support. It is expected to retain the same design as the SE 2 with a Touch ID sensor embedded into the Home Button.

Earlier rumours said that Apple will market the 2022 iPhone as the “cheapest 5G iPhone ever”, so this could retain the $399 price tag of the iPhone SE 2 that was introduced in 2020. There are also rumours for the iPhone SE Plus name.

A rumour from last week said that the iPhone SE 4 will arrive only in 2024, but with a larger 6-inch LCD, Face ID support, punch-hole front camera and of course, 5G capabilities

For the WWDC in June which will also likely be a virtual event, it should introduce iOS 16 (Sydney), tvOS 16 (Paris), macOS 13 (Rome), and watchOS 9 (Kincaid).
