It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, compared to 1GB and 8GB of internal storage on the Redmi 2. Other specifications are similar, including a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC, dual SIM support and 4G LTE with connectivity with support for TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India.

There is a 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Even though it packs the same Snapdragon 410 SoC, more RAM will offer better multitasking compared to the Redmi 2 with 1GB RAM that we reviewed earlier this year.
