Xiaomi’s scheduled Global Mi Phone Premiere event on April 23 in New Delhi is likely to see a ‘lite’ variant of the current Mi 4 flagship device, expected to be named the Xiaomi Mi 4i. Keeping up with the initial “i is coming” teaser, Xiaomi so far has released three teasers suggesting that how the upcoming device is very different from others.

After teasing about a better resolution display and a bigger battery without compromising on the phone’s size, the company on Sunday released a new teaser poster on Facebook pointing that the smartphone is differently crafted.

“Tell Mi! Are all phones made with the same care and quality? ‪#‎iDISAGREES‬,” noted the teaser.

By far we know a very little about the Xiaomi Mi 4i. As per the leaked specifications by GeekBench, the Mi 4i will run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with latest MIUI skin on top. It will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC clocked at 1.65GHz, alongside 2GB of RAM. Other tipped specifications include a 4.9-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and global 4G LTE support.

There is no information on the pricing of Mi 4i. Though we are expecting the smartphone to be priced lower than the existing Mi 4 flagship, but it is possible that Xiaomi replaces Mi 4i as the successor flagship device, similar to iPhone 4S and iPhone 5s.

To remind you, Xiaomi recently announced a permanent price cut of Rs. 2,000 for Mi 4 smartphone in India. The 16GB variant is now available for Rs. 17,999, down from the launch price of Rs. 19,999 and the 64GB variant is available for Rs. 21,999, down from the launch price of Rs. 23,999.
