Tata Play Binge and VIDAA have announced a strategic partnership that makes the Tata Play Binge application available across all VIDAA-powered Smart TVs in India. This rollout includes devices from major television manufacturers operating on the VIDAA platform, such as Hisense and Toshiba.
Expanded Content Accessibility
As an over-the-top (OTT) content aggregator, Tata Play Binge consolidates multiple streaming services into a single interface. With this new integration, viewers can access the platform’s extensive library directly through their Smart TVs, eliminating the need for external streaming devices or set-top boxes.
The integration brings a substantial volume of content to VIDAA devices, including:
- 30+ OTT Platforms: Featuring major services such as Prime Video, JioHotstar, Apple TV+, ZEE5, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, Fancode, BBC iPlayer, and Times Play.
- 20,000+ Movies spanning various genres and regional languages.
- 8,000+ Web Shows, in addition to live sports, documentaries, and traditional television programming.
Streamlined User Experience
The Indian television market is characterized by high diversity in language and content formats. To navigate this, the partnership aims to simplify the viewing experience by connecting users to a broad library of content through a unified system.
Key user features of the integration include:
- Single Login: Access to multiple platforms through one central account.
- Universal Search: The ability to search for titles across all aggregated apps simultaneously.
- Personalized Recommendations: Algorithmic content suggestions tailored to viewing habits.
Strategic Alignment
The inclusion of the Tata Play Binge app supports VIDAA’s content-first strategy, which prioritizes quality, relevance, and ease of access. The platform’s interface is designed to surface content naturally, allowing users to transition between live TV and on-demand viewing without interface complexity.
Availability
The Tata Play Binge application is available immediately on all VIDAA-powered Smart TVs in India. Users can locate and launch the service via the television’s home screen and native app store.
