Gameloft have officially announced that they will be joining hands with Microsoft to bring some of their gaming titles to Microsoft’s Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 platform. The lack of popular titles in the Games section of Windows Store has been of concern, but now Microsoft seem to have brought some life.
Dragon Puzzle is an unique game for iPhone and iPad that combines Puzzle and RPG playing. It is set in a fantasy landscape and offers an engaging gaming experience. You need to build an arsenal of characters with range of power to help you conquer each enemy you meet in your quest and can also seek assistance from other players. The wait for Gameloft’s most awaited racing game seems to go on forever after it was delayed once. On August 8th, when Google demoed their new Nexus 7, they did it in style by taking Gameloft’s Asphalt 8 and showing off the device’s ability to handle high end graphics. Gameloft announced the game back in June with the first trailer.

PopCap games has finally released the Plants vs. Zombies 2 for iPhone and iPad. The game was supposed to be released on July 18th, but it was delayed. Gameloft has started rolling out a new version 1.1 update for the Gangstar Vegas, an open-world action game. This update is called Mojave Apocalypse, that brings eleven new missions with three new missions that has a new type of challenge, jobs, and races. This update also brings three new vehicles, new battle gear for Jason and a new three-tier weapon. Gangstar Vegas for iOS and Android was released back in June. Rockstar Games have started their discounted sale that offers four games for Android, iPhone and iPad at a discounted price. These games include, Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and Max Payne. All the GTA games are available for $2.99 and Max Payne is available for $1.99 (Rs. 110). The GTA games usually cost $4.99 and Max Payne costs $2.99. Disney UTV’s Digital arm has launched the official mobile game based on upcoming Chennai Express movie. The game is title Chennai Express: Escape from Rameshwaram, in which you play the role of Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan’s movie character) who goes on running adventure and fights his way through an army of thugs from Chennai while dodging obstacles like trucks, buses, cars, coconut carts, manholes and more. So far Gameloft has had a successful run with games involving Marvel comics heroes like The Amazing Spiderman and Iron Man 3. Now it has released the teaser trailer for its upcoming game that features another Marvel comics superhero – Thor. The game titled “Thor: The Dark World” will be releasing alongside the film which is scheduled for release later this year in November. This game will be available for iOS and Android at launch and will be free-to-play just like the Iron Man 3. Gameloft released the official Despicable Me: Minion Rush game for Android, iPhone and iPad last month. Now the company has announced that the game has crossed 50 million downloads in just over a month after its release. The game has also received its first update to version 1.1 in both the platforms that brings new environment: El Macho’s Lair, new costumes and new challenges with over 150 missions. Rovio, the creators of Angry birds has announced Angry Birds Star Wars II game, a sequel to the first Angry Birds Star Wars that was released in November last year. The new Angry Birds Star Wars game will follow the story of the three prequel Star Wars movies and would also bring new Angry Birds Star Wars characters including versions of young Anakin, Mace Windu, Darth Maul and more. There are 30 playable characters, most of which remains as a secret. This would also bring the ability to choose your side so that you can play as one of the villainous pigs. Rovio, the creators of the popular Angry Birds franchise has published Tiny Thief, a new game for Android, iPhone and iPad. Rovio published Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage last month through Rovio Stars, the new mobile game publishing program. In this game you play as Tiny Thief, an unconventional hero who uses cunning and trickery to out-smart his opponents across six epic medieval adventures. You need to solve the puzzles using interactive gameplay elements. There are over 3500 animations in the game that offers a fun filled gameplay. The popular soccer video game, FIFA 13, is finally available on Windows Phone 8 devices. However there’s a catch as the game is exclusive to Nokia Lumia devices only. Gameloft & EA game is now available on the WP8 as well and has been priced at $4.99.
The game has 30 different leagues, 500 licensed teams. A fair bit of customization options are also provided including the ability to chose your kit and change the line up. As is expected from a FIFA game, it is possible to tweak the scenarios just as you want them. The game has 15000 players as well as 32 stadiums to chose from. You get a tournament mode as well as practice modes, penalty shoot out mode. The game comes with achievements and works with Xbox Live. The download size is a rather massive 951MB. Electronic Arts (EA) has released a huge update for the Real Racing 3 for Android, iPhone and iPad that brings new features. EA is calling it the prestige update that brings new prestige cars from the manufacturers Bentley and Mercedes-Benz, Time Trial Race, Improved graphics, more than 180 events and lots more.
