Rockstar games has finally launched Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories game for Android, after almost couple of months of launching it on iOS. It was originally released for PlayStation Portable back in 2005 and was released on PlayStation 3 in 2013. The game has several enhancements for Android that includes updated real time lighting and shadows, upgraded textures and art, greater draw distance, performance enhancements for touch-based gaming like analog steering and rebalanced targeting, and cross-platform cloud saves via Social Club. Alto’s Adventure, an endless snowboarding game has finally launched on Android, almost a year after launching on iOS. The game is free, but has in-app purchases for bonuses or if you want to support the developers. The core mechanic of the game centers around an easy to learn, difficult to master one button trick system that allows you to chain together increasingly more elaborate trick combos to maximize the players speed and compete for high scores and distances. Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen’s .GEARS released Swing Copters game for Android and iOS platforms last August, now its sequel has arrived for both the platforms. In this game you need to control a pilot equipped with a copter-hat to fly through obstacles to get points, similar to the first one, but this adds new obstacles such as swinging hammers. It also has more characters and there is a story for them, but this game will be much more challenging, says the team. Square Enix released Lara Croft GO, a turn-based puzzle game for Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone and Windows back in August. Today it has released new The Shard of Life free expansion pack for the Android and iOS users that adds 26 new puzzles to solve, numerous new cursed monsters to battle, two new costumes to earn, artifacts and gemstones to collect. “The free new content will provide hours of additional gameplay for this unique turn-based experience,” said Square Enix.
Activision Blizzard today announced that it will acquire King Digital Entertainment, creator of the most popular Candy Crush Saga game for $5.9 billion. King’s shareholders will receive $18.00 in cash per share comprising a total equity value of $5.9 billion and an enterprise value of $5.0 billion. The addition of King’s highly-complementary business further positions Activision Blizzard for growth across platforms, audiences, genres, and business models, said the company. Electronic Arts has finally released Need for Speed No Limits, its latest mobile game in the Need for Speed franchise. It is the successor of the Need for Speed Most Wanted game that was launched back in October 2012. The game is developed by Firemonkeys, the studio behind Real Racing 3 and was announced back in November last year. It promises fast driving, incredible graphics, new range of cars and customizations.

Rovio, creators of popular Angry Birds games has released Nibblers, a new puzzle game for Android and iOS platforms. It was soft launched in Canada, Finland, New Zealand and Australia earlier this year, now it’s available worldwide. The theme of the game is similar to Candy Crush. Bethesda Softworks released Fallout Shelter, a free strategy game for iPhone and iPad last month. It also revealed its plans to launch the Android version soon. Now the company has announced that the Android version will finally release on August 13th. The Android version will also include a new update with the release, while the iOS version will get the update during that same time.
