Airtel recharge offer: Get Rs. 6000 cashback on purchase of new smartphone

Before Reliance Jio launches its JioPhone Next, Airtel today launched Mera Pehla Smartphone program that will offer Rs. 6000 cashback for users who purchase new smartphones. This will require users to recharge Rs. 249 or above for 36 months, after which they will get full cashback. This is available to customers who purchase a new smartphone priced approximately up to Rs. 12,000 from leading brands. Over 150 smartphones are eligible for this benefit, says the company. Airtel, Ericsson conduct India’s first rural 5G trial

Airtel launches new pre-paid plans with 1-year Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription

Airtel has launched new Mobile and Home Broadband plans that come bundled with free 1-year subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. These new Airtel mobile prepaid plans come with bundled data, unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day along with subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. This comes after the launch of similar Disney+ Hotstar bundled packs from Jio earlier this month, but Jio’s 56 days plan costs Rs. 666 and the 365 days plan costs Rs. 2599. Airtel demonstrates Cloud Gaming on its 5G network

Airtel today announced that it has successfully conducted India’s first cloud gaming session in a 5G environment. It was conducted in Manesar (Guragon) as part of the ongoing 5G trails using spectrum allotted  by the Department of Telecom (DoT). Airtel pre-paid recharge packs now start at Rs. 79, entry-level Rs. 49 pack discontinued

Airtel has  discontinued its Rs 49 entry level Prepaid recharge. The company said that its prepaid packs will now start from the Rs 79 Smart Recharge, and it says that offer up to four times more outgoing minutes of usage to customers along with double data. Airtel and Intel partner for 5G services in India

After partnering with Qualcomm, Airtel today announced a collaboration with Intel to use its vRAN / O-RAN technologies for 5G services in India. Airtel said that will deploy Intel’s latest 3rd gen Xeon Scalable processors, FPGAs and eASICs, and Ethernet 800 series across its network to build a solid foundation for rolling out wide-scale 5G, mobile edge computing and network slicing. Airtel Black combines Postpaid, Broadband & DTH under a single connection

Airtel has launched Airtel Black that lets bundle 2 or more of Airtel services (Fiber, DTH, Mobile) together. This entitles the customer to one single bill, one Customer Care number with a dedicated team of relationship managers, and priority resolution of faults and issues, says the company. This doesn’t have any additional costs or installation cost, and  comes with free service visits for life. The company launched a similar plan last year for select circles. Airtel launches Rs. 456 prepaid pack with 50GB data with no daily data limit, 60 days validity

Soon after Jio launched its Freedom Plans with no daily data limit, Airtel has launched a new Rs. 456 that doesn’t have a daily data limit so that customers can use the 50GB data that comes with the plan any time within the 60 days validity that comes with the plan. It offers unlimited voice, 100 SMS per day and Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition Free Trial, Airtel Xstream Premium, Wynk Music and cashback on FASTag. Airtel begins mid-band 5G trials in Gurgaon’s Cyber Hub

After receiving approval from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to begin 5G trials in India last month, Airtel has begun rolling out their mid-band 5G trial network in Gurgaon’s Cyber Hub. The test is being conducted on the 3500 MHz band and is utilizing 5G networking gear from Ericsson.

Airtel deploys additional 11.2 Mhz spectrum in 1800 MHz band in Karnataka to enhance network coverage

After Tamil Nadu, Airtel today announced that it has also upgraded its mobile network in Karnataka by deploying an additional 11.2 Mhz spectrum in the 1800 Mhz band along with advance network software tools across its network in Karnataka to significantly bolster high speed data capacity. This will enable improved network availability and data speeds along with better coverage inside homes and buildings in cities and urban areas, said the company. Airtel adds additional 5MHz spectrum in 1800MHz band in Tamil Nadu to enhance network coverage

Airtel, one of India’s largest cellular network companies, has announced an upgrade to its Tamil Nadu network with the addition of 5MHz in the 1800 MHz band. This brings Airtel’s total spectrum bank in Tamil Nadu to 65MHz, which is one of the largest among cellular network carriers in the state.
