Vivo just launched its latest mid-range X21 smartphone in the ‘X Series’ in India as it had promised. It has a 6.28-inch FHD+ 19:9 Super AMOLED display with a notch, 90.3% screen-to-body ratio, 1.66mm narrow bezels on the sides, 1.79mm bezels on the top and 5mm on the bottom. It is powered by Snapdragon 660 with 6GB RAM and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Funtouch OS 4.0 with A.I features powered by dedicated Qualcomm AIE Artificial Intelligence Chip along with the Snapdragon 660.
Vivo has announced Y83, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘Y Series’ in China. It comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels, and it is the world’s first smartphone to be powered by MediaTek’s latest Helio P22 Octa-Core 12nm SoC that was introduced earlier this week. Vivo introduced APEX as the world’s first bezel-less smartphone with in-display fingerprint scanner and over 90% screen-to-body ratio at the MWC 2018 back in February. At that time it said that the phone is still in concept stage and will go into production in mid-2018. Vivo has silently launched Y53i, a year after the Y53 with the same specifications including 5-inch qHD display, Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 SoC with 2GB RAM, Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and screen flash as well as face unlock.
