Vivo V20 Pro Unboxing and First impressions

5G in smartphones have mostly been available in expensive and premium smartphones till date. That has slowly begun to change as the technology has started to trickle down to mid-range budget smartphones. Now, Vivo has announced their newest smartphone in their V20 range, called the Vivo V20 Pro. The phone is claimed to be the thinnest 5G capable smartphone in India, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which should be a nice upgrade over the Snapdragon 720G in the Vivo V20. The smartphone is launching today, and we have the device in hand, so here are our first impressions and unboxing of the device.

Vivo just launched the V20 Pro, the company’s top-end smartphone in the V series in India, as it had announced. It packs a 6.44-inch FHD+ 20:9 AMOLED display with a notch that houses 44MP (primary with f/2.0 aperture) with eye autofocus + 8MP (ultra-wide with f/2.28 aperture) front cameras and supports in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 765G 5G Mobile Platform. It runs Funtouch OS 11 with Android 10, and the company has promised Android 11 update in a week. Vivo has silently launched the Y1s, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Y series in the offline market. This is marketed as Jio exclusively smartphone so it comes with several benefits for Jio users. It packs a 6.22-inch Helo FullView HD+ display with about 88.3% screen-to-body ratio, is powered MediaTek Helio P35  SoC with 2GB of RAM, sports a 13MP camera, as well as a 5MP front-facing camera with face unlock. Vivo confirms OriginOS roll out to range of smartphones

Vivo introduced the OriginOS to replace the Funtouch OS Android skin at its China event yesterday with “Klotski grid” desktop grid, “Nano Alerts”  “Nano Kits Library”,  navigation gestures, Sky Window,  Time Window, Behaviour Icon and more. As expected, it has confirmed the range of devices that will get the open beta update in China before January 2021.
