TCL Electronics has announced that it has partnered with the Andhra Pradesh government to set up a brand-new manufacturing facility in Tirupati. TCL Communication Technology (TCT) today shared its plans for an industry-first brand portfolio business model, which now enables the company to offer an entire suite of mobility products, including new BlackBerry smartphones. It also introduce a new BlackBerry smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard as rumored earlier, but it doesn’t have a name yet. Last month TCL announced that it will unveil new BlackBerry brand of smartphones at the CES 2017. Steve Cistulli, President and General Manager for TCL Communication, North America shared some teasers of the upcoming BlackBerry smartphone with a physical QWERTY keyboard. TCL has introduced top-end TCL 950 smartphone and the budget TCL 580 smartphone in China. The 950 is the same BlackBerry DTEK60 that will be unveiled in the coming weeks, but this has a 1080 AMOLED display instead of Quad HD display. Other specs are similar, including Snapdragon 820 SoC, 21-megapixel camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF for quick focus in 0.1 seconds and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. TCL has launched TCL 562, the company’s latest smartphone, soon after the launch of TCL 560. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that also has LED flash to capture better images in low lighting conditions.
