OPPO India has launched a Gilded Limited Edition OPPO R5 with gold frame in India. There are just 10,000 units of the smartphone available globally, says the company. The specifications of the smartphone are similar to the silver variant that includes a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and Color OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). OPPO has introduced Mirror 3 smartphone in India. It was first introduced in Vietnam last month and was launched in China as OPPO 3000 in China. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor and runs on Android 4.4 (Ktikat) with Color OS 2.01 ROM on top. Oppo has introduced Oppo 3000 smartphone in China. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor and runs on Android 4.4 (Ktikat) with Color OS 2.01 ROM on top. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1/3.2″ Sony IMX179 sensor with pixel size of 1.4 microns, f/2.0 aperture, 5-element lens and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

When touchscreens happened, the keys disappeared, and suddenly, we had a lot of sleek devices, telling us science fiction-to-fruition is indeed possible. It was simple, you didn’t need depth for even the thinnest of keyboards and it was just a screen and glass on top of other complicated electronics. So, then thinning of the other parts and refinement of the glass (did you know, Gorilla Glass 2 had a 20% reduction in thickness vs 1?) were the subsequent steps to get the slimmest device possible, and it seems the Chinese have broken new ground.

Oppo has announced Oppo R1C, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone and the successor of last year’s Oppo R1 (R829T). It comes with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and runs on Color OS based on Android 4.4. The phone is just 6.85 mm, slightly thinner than its predecessor Oppo R1 and weighs 130 grams. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Oppo launched the Oppo R5 (R8106), the company’s slimmest smartphone in India last month for Rs. 29,990. We already brought you the photo gallery of the smartphone from the announcement and the unboxing recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the Oppo R5.  It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.54 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.0 GHz per core. It has Adreno 405 GPU clocked at 550 MHz. It has 2GB DDR3 RAM, 5.2-inch 1080p screen and runs on Color OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). We had already seen some smartphones powered by the same Snapdragon 615 chip, including the YU YUREKA. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.

Oppo introduced the Oppo R5 with a stainless steel body, micro-arc frame that is just 4.85mm thick at an event in Singapore back in September. The company just announced that it will hit the stores this month and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000. The Oppo R5 has a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and runs on Color OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Oppo Find 7 up for pre-order in the UK

The Oppo Find 7 may have been introduced in March this year but the handset has finally made it’s way to the UK and is available to pre-order from Amazon UK. The handset starts at £319 for the 16GB version whilst those wanting more storage will have to fork out £379 for the 32GB version. Oppo N3 with 5.5-inch 1080p display, 16MP auto rotating camera announced

Oppo just announced the Oppo N3, the latest smartphone in the N series at an event in Singapore. It a 5.5-inch 1080p display, features a 16-megapixel 206-degree rotating camera, dual LED flash, 1/2.3″ sensor,  pixel size of 1.34 microns and f/2.2 aperture. Oppo Find 7 and Find 7a to receive Android KitKat based ColorOS v2.0 update

Oppo is releasing an Android KitKat based ColorOS v2.0 update to Find 7 and Find 7a. This will not be an OTA update, and users will have to download the update package and move it to the root directory of the phone, then update while in recovery mode.

Cyanogen Camera App available in Play Store, works only with CM11S

Cyanogen has released the Cyanogen Camera app in the Play Store. However, its available only for devices running CM11S, which means that it is an exclusive to the OnePlus One.
