Huawei’s Honor brand just announced Honor V9 Play, the company’s latest budget smartphone, as it had promised. It packs a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.1 top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Huawei at the IFA 2017 announced its flagship Kirin 970 10nm SoC with a dedicated neural network processing unit. At the end of the event it also confirmed that the Mate 10 series – Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro powered by Kirin 970 will be announced at an event in Munich, Germany on October 16th. Huawei Kirin 970 10nm SoC with dedicated neural network processing unit announced

Huawei at the IFA 2017 announced Kirin 970, its next-generation processor of high-end devices and the world’s first mobile SoC with  dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU). It is an Octa-Core SoC with four ARM Cortex A73 Cores clocked up to 2.4GHz and four ARM Cortex A53 Cores clocked up to 1.8 GHz, similar to the Kirin 960, but this is built on 10nm TSMC process technology compared to 16nm FinFET process in the predecessor and has a faster ARM Mali-G72MP12 GPU. Huawei Mate 10 will come with full-screen display, confirms CEO

Huawei yesterday announced its shipped 73 million smartphones during the first six months of the year, up 21% YoY. Richard Yu, head of Huawei’s consumer division said that the company has shipped more than six million P10  since the launch. In an interview with Bloomberg, he said that the phone will be an even more powerful product compared to the predecessor.

Huawei’s Honor brand launched its flagship Honor 8 Pro smartphone in India last week. It went on sale through Amazon.in during Prime Day sale along with offers. From tomorrow, July 13th, the phone will be available through open sale exclusively from Amazon.in. Honor said that it will be available with no cost EMI for a period of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months via Bajaj Finserv. Vodafone offers 45GB data for five months. These offers would be available for purchases made during July 13, 2017 to July 31, 2017.
