Huawei’s Honor brand at an event today in Bengaluru today announced the roll out details for its next software update – EMUI 5 based on Android 7.0 (Nougat). It said that upcoming Honor 8 Lite smartphone will be the first device that will come with EMUI 5.0 out-of- the-box. Huawei’s Honor brand introduced the Honor 8 Pro smartphone last month. We already brought you the review of the smartphone, here we have its battery life test results. Huawei smartphones with model numbers PIC-AL00, PIC-TL00, BAC-AL00 and BAC-TL00 have been certified by TENAA in China. These are expected to be Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus, successors of Nova and Nova Plus smartphones that were unveiled last year. It packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a quad-core processor, has a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, but it still runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. Huawei has announced P10 lite, a budget version of the flagship P10 that was introduced at the MWC 2017 last month. It packs a 5.2-inch 1080p 2.5d curved glass display on the front and also has a glass back. It has a metal frame, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 658 processor, which is an upgraded version of the Kirin 655. It runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Emotion UI 5.1 on the top, similar to the P10.
