Google has released Android distribution numbers for the month of May. Android Nougat adoption is increasing steadily and has now reached to 7.1%, up from 4.9% last month. Nougat 7.0 is present on 6.6% of Android devices while 0.5% have Android 7.1 installed.

Google rolls out May Android security update for Pixel and Nexus devices

Google has started rolling out new over-the-air (OTA) update for Pixel and Nexus devices and also posted factory images as part of monthly Android Security release. The latest update this month fixes several critical issues, including issues in Remote code execution vulnerability in Mediaserver, and Remote code execution vulnerability in Framework APIs, Mediaserver, Audioserver and more. Google to reportedly release three Snapdragon 835 powered Pixel phones in 2017

Google is expected to launch three Pixel devices this year. It has been reported that the company is working on two Pixel phones codenamed as Walleye and Muskie. Now, a leak from Android Open Source Project is suggesting there is a third device in making as well. All the three Pixel phone are tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor.

Now, the company is expanding the neural machine translation for Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam and Kannada. Introduced in September last year, Neural machine translation translates whole sentences at a time instead of piece by piece. Google is currently working on an built-in ad blocker feature for Chrome, according to a latest report from the Wall Street Journal. The search giant plans to roll out ad blocker in the next mobile version of its Chrome browser that would filter out certain types of ads.
