WhatsApp’s chief business officer, Neeraj Arora has quit WhatsApp roughly one year after WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton exited from Facebook. WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook for $19 billion in 2014 and the company mentioned that it would allow WhatsApp to operate independently under Acton and co-founder Jan Koum, who served as its chief executive officer until abruptly quitting over privacy and data concerns in April. Google has quietly rolled out a new feature to Maps that is aimed at helping users discover places others have recommended. Google Maps now supports hashtags in reviews. Google suggests that users add up to five hashtags per review, and place them at the end of the review to make the text easier to read. WhatsApp for iOS beta brings new group calling UI changes, ability to view videos from notifications

WhatsApp seems to be rolling out new features which include the ability to view videos directly in the push notification and new UI improvements for group calls for its iOS beta version.  The new UI improvements for Group calls are available for the 2.18.110.17 IOS beta, while the ability to view videos directly in the push notification seems to be enabled for some with version number 2.18.102.5. YouTube has announced that it is planning on introducing two back-to-back skippable ads which it is calling “Ad-pods.” This will let you watch a longer video without interruptions.
