Xiaomi has announced Mi A2 Lite, the company’s latest mid-range Android One smartphone along with the Mi A2, as it had promised. It packs a 5.84-inch FHD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch, is powered by Snapdragon 625 with up to 4GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), a 12-megapixel rear camera with flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for AI portraits and AI scene detection. There is also a 5-megapixel front camera with AI portrait and AI Face unlock.

It is the global version of the Mi 6X which was introduced in April, has a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display, is powered by Snapdragon 660, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.75 aperture, Sony IMX486 sensor along with a 20-megapixel secondary rear camera with Sony IMX376 sensor to capture depth information for portrait shots with AI, has intelligent scene detection and has auto sensor section . It also has the same 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor for the front camera with soft LED flash and AI beautification.
Last week Xiaomi sent out invites for the global launch of a new smartphone in Spain on July 24th. Yesterday the company started teasing the launch of the successor of Mi A1 smartphone. Today, the company said that it will be launching two smartphones at the event, as expected. The second smartphone that will join the Mi A2 will be the Mi A2 Lite, the global version of the Redmi 6 Pro which was introduced last month, and even passed through the FCC recently. Yesterday Xiaomi sent out invites for the global launch of a new smartphone in Spain on July 24th where it is expected to introduce global version of the Mi 6X which was introduced back in April. Now the smartphone has surfaced on a online retail site in Portugal along with the Mi A2 Lite, which should be the global version of the Redmi 6 Pro which was introduced last month, and even passed through the FCC recently.
