Apple to increase UK and Europe app prices

Prices for content and applications in Apple’s App Store in the UK and Europe are to rise this week as Apple compensates for currency fluctuations and changes in taxation rates. The Cupertino company sent a message to Apple Developers on January 7th outlining that the prices would rise in all European Union countries along with Canada but will drop in Iceland. Mac App Store Downloads crosses the 100 Million Mark.

Roughly designed around the iTunes App Store for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, Apple fashioned the online outlet the previous year as a steadfast place to obtain their Mac software. A million people doubted it. Yet, as of today, Apple proclaimed that the Mac App Store crossed above 100 million downloads. It abides the same 70-30 profits divide, where software developers split 30% of their trade with Apple, except if the application is free of charge.
