Videocon Telecom has seen phenomenal monthly growth of 9.5% with net addition of over 4.21 lakh subscribers in September 2013 to reach 49 Lakh customers. GSM subscribers increased by 4.41 million in September 2013 (0.65% increase from previous month), according to COAI report. Videocon Telecom operates in 4 circles, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh.
Videocon Telecom has retained No. 1 position in Haryana consecutively for the last 5 months and No. 1 position in Punjab for the last 2 months. It is among 3 players in the rest of the operational circles for the last 5 months, says the company. It also gained a lot of customers through MNP. It recently revealed the new Videocon Telecom band change and a new logo. It has almost doubled its network growth in the past 5 months, says the company.

Earlier this month Videocon announced that they plan to bid for 900 MHz specturm for Delhi in 2014 auction. According to Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) the total number of GSM Subs as of September 2013 is 678.82 million and Airtel leads the chart with 193.39 million customers.
