Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update starts rolling out

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy S4 LTE variant (GT-I9505) starting from Germany as reported by SamMobile. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the first non-Nexus device to run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) out of the box, and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition got the Android 4.3 update back in August. At the Note 3 announcement Samsung promised the Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S4 in October, and it has rolled out the update as promised.

The latest Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S4 doesn’t bring a lot of changes, and most of the changes lie under the hood.  The Android 4.3 update brings Restricted Profiles , Bluetooth 4.0 low energy support , OpenGL ES 3.0 support and more.  Samsung doesn’t release official changelog for updates, so the complete list of changes are not available yet.

This update also brings support for Samsung Galaxy Gear., Samsung KNOX Implementation, Improved RAM management, Improvements in display, better TouchWiz Launcher, New Samsung Keyboard, New Samsung Browser, New Reading Mode, New Camera firmware and more as noted by SamMobile.

The Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S4 is available in Germany, and would gradually roll out worldwide. It is not clear when the Exynos variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) would get the update.
