Nokia India has announced that the Nokia Lumia Your Wish is my App contest has received over 35,000 app ideas across India. The contest saw several idea submissions around topics based on daily lives such as women security, productivity, grooming, food, health & well being, said Gerard Rego, Director – Developer Experience, Nokia India.
The contest was launched in December in association with NDTV. Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin joins the judges Vishal Gondal, Raj Chinai, Rajiv Makhni and Vikas Khanna.
The top 42 shortlisted contestants with the most exciting apps suggestions would be selected to participate in the reality TV show to stand a chance to win Rs. 1 million. In addition to the grand prize of Rs 10 lakhs (1 million), the runner up would get Rs 5 lakhs and Rs 2 lakhs each, and 3 winners would stand a chance to win Nokia Lumia 920 handsets.
The 9 episode reality show would be aired on NDTV starting February 9th 2013.
