OPPO officially introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the Find X9 Ultra, as it had promised. Positioned with the theme “Optics Supreme, Pocket Hasselblad,” the device is aimed at creative professionals and photography enthusiasts.
Design and Durability
Inspired by the Hasselblad X2D 100C Earth Explorer Limited Edition, the Find X9 Ultra features a back panel constructed from a new generation of environmentally friendly and durable leather, prominently displaying the Hasselblad brand logo. It is available in three distinct color options: Earth Tundra, Polar Glacier, and Velvet Sand Canyon.
The device is built to withstand rigorous conditions, featuring Crystal Shield Glass. It has secured the Swiss SGS five-star certification for whole-device drop and shock resistance. Furthermore, it supports full-level water resistance, maintaining IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings.
Advanced Imaging System
The Find X9 Ultra introduces a comprehensive upgrade across its camera array, featuring six lenses designed to maximize resolution and dynamic range. Key camera specifications include:
- 10x Optical Zoom Telephoto: A Hasselblad lens supporting native optical zoom and up to 20x optical quality zoom, designed for concert photography, compressed portraits, and long-range shooting.
- 200MP Ultra-Clear Telephoto: Features an ultra-large sensor with an upgraded dynamic range and light sensitivity.
- 200MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera: Utilizes an ultra-large sensor to significantly improve light intake and pixel count.
The device also debuts the new LUMO internal optical zoom technology, which increases the pixel count by four times at the 2x and 6x zoom ranges. This system fully covers the “holy trinity” of camera lenses with 8K image quality.
Hasselblad Master Mode
The smartphone integrates the next generation of Hasselblad Master Mode, introducing three primary functions to enhance image output:
- Hasselblad True Detail: Allows direct output of 8K ultra-high-resolution photos across six focal lengths.
- Hasselblad Natural Color: Utilizes the next-generation full-link ProXDR for accurate color reproduction.
- Master Mode Original Film: Uses computational optics to replicate the tones and colors of classic film, offering nine distinct film profiles.
Professional Videography Capabilities
Targeting video creators, the Find X9 Ultra is equipped with a large-sensor professional video lens group consisting of seven optically high-quality lenses. It supports cinematic recording specifications, including 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps in 10-bit Log.
The addition of the new O-Log2 maximizes detail preservation in shadows and midtones. The device also supports the ACES professional color management process and custom 3D LUT imports, enabling on-site color grading previews. To expand its video capabilities, OPPO collaborated with TILTA to create a professional ecosystem. This includes support for professional ND filters, manual focus handles, and internal HDMI signal output for multi-person collaborative shooting.
Display and Performance
The device sports a 2K eye-protection display utilizing X3 flagship luminescent material. It achieves a 144Hz ultra-high refresh rate and supports pixel-level gamma correction alongside visual comfort adjustments.
Under the hood, the Find X9 Ultra is powered by a Tide Engine combined with the 5th-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra processor. This configuration is optimized to maintain a 144Hz full frame rate for popular MOBA and FPS mobile games.
Battery and Connectivity
To sustain demanding workloads, the device houses a 7,050mAh Glacier Battery. This system utilizes a Glacier Battery Energy Concentration Chip and a proprietary spherical silicon-carbon anode material. It supports 100W SuperVOOC wired flash charging and 50W wireless flash charging.
For connectivity, the Find X9 Ultra features a mountain and sea communication enhancement chip. This technology enables dual-satellite communication, allowing users to make calls and send text messages in areas without standard cellular signals. Audio and haptics are managed by symmetrical dual speakers and a bionic vibration motor.
