Bharti Airtel and Google have initiated a collaboration to provide a secure Rich Communication Services (RCS) messaging experience for users across India. This partnership integrates Airtel’s network intelligence with Google’s RCS platform, aiming to deliver enhanced multimedia messaging while significantly mitigating mobile spam and digital fraud.

Through this integration, users will have access to modern messaging features—such as high-quality photo and video sharing, along with interactive elements like message reactions—backed by structural protections designed to filter malicious communications.

Over the past 1.5 years, Airtel has implemented AI-powered initiatives across its network to protect customers. According to the company, these measures have blocked 71 billion spam calls and 2.9 billion spam SMS messages, correlating with a 68.7% decrease in the value of financial losses reported on its network.
