Samsung Electronics has announced the Galaxy Book6 series at CES 2026. The lineup includes Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro, and Galaxy Book6.
Galaxy Book6 series
The Galaxy Book6 series adopts a refined structural layout aimed at reducing thickness while maintaining balance and durability.
Design and chassis engineering
Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Galaxy Book6 Pro 16-inch use redesigned internal and external components, including a wider vapor chamber, thinner fan, updated display structure, refined bezels, and a reworked hinge mechanism.
- Galaxy Book6 Ultra measures 15.4mm, representing a 1.1mm reduction compared to Galaxy Book4 Ultra
- Galaxy Book6 Pro 16-inch measures 11.9mm, a 0.6mm reduction compared to Galaxy Book5 Pro 16-inch
The series features a symmetrical exterior design with curved corners and a centered logo. The centrally aligned two-tone keyboard and haptic touch trackpad are designed to improve hand placement and typing accuracy. Internally, a redesigned PCB layout distributes weight and components more evenly to support a slimmer profile, stable performance, and long-term reliability.
Processing platform and graphics
The Galaxy Book6 series is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, the first client system-on-chip platforms built on Intel 18A (1.8nm-class) process technology.
These processors support up to 16 combined performance and efficiency cores, delivering up to 60% faster CPU performance compared to the previous generation. The integrated NPU delivers up to 50 TOPS, enabling on-device AI functions such as image processing, translation, and intelligent search without cloud dependence.
Galaxy Book6 Ultra supports NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 Laptop GPUs, enabling GPU-accelerated workloads such as AI image generation, video editing, and gaming.
Thermal system
Samsung redesigned the cooling architecture across the Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Pro models to support sustained performance with controlled acoustics.
The Galaxy Book6 Pro series introduces a vapor chamber for the first time, while Galaxy Book6 Ultra uses a larger vapor chamber with expanded surface area. Both models increase fin size to improve heat transfer, delivering 35% higher cooling efficiency compared to the previous generation.
Galaxy Book6 Ultra includes a dual-path outlet fan and heatsink design to dissipate heat from the processor and internal components. The updated fan features an optimized blade angle, a larger inlet grille for improved airflow, and uneven blade spacing to reduce operational noise.
Battery performance and charging
The Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Galaxy Book6 Pro are designed for extended usage through improved power efficiency.
Both models deliver up to 30 hours of video playback, extending usage by approximately five hours compared to the previous generation. Galaxy Book6 Ultra supports fast charging, reaching up to 63% battery capacity in 30 minutes.
Display technology
Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Pro introduce upgraded Dynamic AMOLED 2X touch displays designed to maintain clarity across different lighting conditions.
Display specifications include:
- HDR peak brightness up to 1000 nits
- SDR peak brightness of 500 nits
- Adaptive refresh rate from 30Hz to 120Hz
- Vision Booster, which adjusts visibility based on ambient lighting and on-screen content
- True Bright 1300 certification and True Black 0.0005 nits
- Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC, reducing surface reflection by up to 75% compared to standard glass and improving scratch resistance
Touch input supports direct interaction for editing and navigation.
Audio system
The Galaxy Book6 series includes revised speaker configurations aligned with the upgraded displays.
- Galaxy Book6 Ultra features a six-speaker Dolby Atmos system, including four force-canceling woofers and two tweeters. A back-to-back woofer layout reduces vibration and distortion at higher volumes.
- Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Galaxy Book6 Pro 16-inch include up-firing tweeters to improve voice clarity and side-firing woofers to enhance low-frequency output for media playback and calls.
Galaxy AI features and ecosystem integration
The Galaxy Book6 series integrates Galaxy AI to support on-device and cloud-based workflows across Samsung devices.
Supported features include:
- AI Select for text selection and contextual lookup using touch input
- AI Cut Out for background removal in images
- Natural language search across files, photos, and system settings
- Note Assist for text summarization and translation
- Storage Share for accessing files and photos across Galaxy devices
- Link to Windows for phone apps, notifications, messaging, and Live Translate workflows
- Nearby Devices for quick device discovery and drag-and-drop connectivity
- Multi Control for cursor, copy, and paste across Galaxy Book, phone, and tablet
- Second Screen for workspace expansion using Galaxy tablets
Security and device protection
The Galaxy Book6 series is protected by Samsung Knox, providing multi-layer, hardware-based security. Additional protection is provided through Windows 11 Secured-core PC features.
All devices undergo Samsung’s durability and quality testing processes. Samsung Care+ is available for accidental damage protection, repairs, and replacements.

Pricing and Availability
Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro, and Galaxy Book6 will be available in Grey and Silver in select markets starting late January 2026, with reservations open in select regions via Samsung’s official website; pricing details are expected to be announced closer to the rollout, while a Galaxy Book6 Enterprise Edition, designed for managed IT environments, will be available in certain markets starting April 2026.
