Redmi Note 12 with 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 685, 5000mAh battery launching in India on March 30

Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 12 4G smartphone in India on March 30th after it surfaced earlier this month. This comes after the launch of Redmi Note 12 5G model in January.

The company says that it will be the sleekest SuperNote and confirmed a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 685 4G Mobile Platform, which is said to be the overclocked (up to 2.8 GHz) version of the Snapdragon 680 that powers the Redmi Note 11, a 50MP rear camera and a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Since the company says that the phone will have up to 11GB of RAM including virtual RAM, we can expect the 6GB of RAM version as well.

The renders revealed a similar rear design and a punch-hole front camera. The phone is said to retain the 3.5mm audio jack, an IR blaster, come with 4GB of RAM and 3GB of virtual RAM, and runs Android 13 out of the box with MIUI 14. The phone is expected to come in blue, gray, and green colours.

Xiaomi is holding a global event tomorrow, March 23rd, to introduce a new Redmi Note 12 series, so we should know the complete specifications after the event.

The Redmi Note 12 will be sold on Flipkart, in addition to mi.com and offline stores. Since Xiaomi has mentioned that the phone will be a special launch as the part of Xiaomi Fan Festival, we can expect more devices at the event on March 30th.
