Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with 6.8″ QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 200MP camera gets certified

Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S23 series in early 2023. Now the Galaxy S23 Ultra (SM-S9180) has been certified by TENAA in China revealing the important specifications including a 200MP camera which is the main change compared to 108MP camera in the older models.

It is said to offer 12MP output after pixel binning. Based on earlier rumours, the phone is said to retain the similar ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto and a 10MP Periscope lens for 10x optical zoom, same as the predecessor, but the quality should be better.

As expected, the certification reveals Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with clock speeds up to 3.36GHz compared to 3.2GHz in the standard version. Based on reports, the company is not planning to launch an Exynos version of the phone, so all the markets should get the Snapdragon chip.
