Nokia X30 5G, G60 5G, C31 and Nokia T21 tablet announced


HMD Global at its IFA event introduced four new devices Nokia X30 5G, Nokia G60 and Nokia C31 smartphone and Nokia T21 tablet. The company said that the X30 5G is made with 100% recycled aluminium and 65% recycled plastic, making it its most eco-friendly smartphone yet.

It also uses 100% FSC-certified and 94% recycled paper box at a reduced packaging size saves on transportation CO2 emissions, made possible by removing the charger to tackle e-waste.  The Nokia G60 has 100% recycled plastic back and 60% recycled plastic frame.

The 5G phones come with the ‘3-3-3’ promise – three years of Android upgrades, three years of monthly security updates, and an extended three-year warranty at no extra cost. The C31 will get guaranteed two years of regular security updates.

The Nokia T21 has a tough body made with aluminium that features a 60% recycled plastic cover for the antenna. It promises two years of Android upgrades and up to three years of monthly security updates. It has NFC support and upgraded UNISOC T612 SoC.

  • Nokia X30 5G comes in Cloudy Blue or Ice White colours and is priced starting at an RRP of 529 EUR (US$ 529 / Rs. 42,210 approx.)
  • Nokia G60 5G comes in Pure Black and Ice Grey colours and is priced starting at an RRP of 319 EUR  (US$ 319 / Rs. 25,455 approx.)
  • Nokia C31 comes in Mint, Charcoal and Cyan colours and is priced starting at an RRP of 129 EUR  (US$ 129 / Rs. 10,290 approx.)
  • Nokia T21 comes in Charcoal Grey colour in Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE options starting at an RRP of 239 EUR (US$ 239 / Rs. 19,060 approx.)

These devices will be available in select markets globally starting today.

Circular – Nokia device subscription service

It also announced Circular – a subscription service redefining mobile phone ownership with sustainability at its core. The subscription offers a more sustainable and hassle-free way to use Nokia smartphones and tablets, said the company.

The monthly price for devices available on Circular as follows:

  • Nokia G60 5G (€339) – €15 p/m
  • Nokia X30 5G (€549) – €30 p/m
  • Nokia XR20 (€569) – €25 p/m
  • Nokia T10(€199) – €12 p/m

Circular is available for select devices from Nokia.com/phones in the UK and Germany, with global roll out planned in the coming months. A unique Circular subscription will be available for business customers in Q4 2022
