realme narzo 30 5G Unboxing and First Impressions


realme today launched the narzo 30 5G, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone, in India as it had promised. This shares most specifications with the realme 8 5G, but comes with a new design, 6GB + 128GB version and dynamic RAM expansion technology. Let us check out the first impressions of the phone.

The phone features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass screen with gentle rounded corners. The display is bright, and the sunlight legibility is good as well, thanks to 600nits peak brightness.

It has the punch-hole that houses 16-megapixel camera.  The earpiece is present on the top edge. Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with 6GB of RAM, it also has Dynamic RAM expansion technology that lets users expand it up to 11GB by converting ROM to Virtual RAM offering a smooth experience.

Coming to the button placements, the power button is present on the right side along with a fingerprint scanner, the volume rockers are present on the left along with a dedicated dual SIM and a microSD slot, 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. Audio from the speakers are good even though it’s mono.

The phone features a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel 4cm macro and a 2-megpixel B&W depth camera with f/2.4 aperture. It supports up to 1080p fps video recording. Check out some camera samples below.

Coming to the design, the back cover of the phone is different from the realme 8 5G. realme says that this is inspired by the racing contest, taking the speeding headlights from the racing car and projects them on the back of the phone to create a dynamic change of light when the phone is shaken, called Racing Design.

The company said that it has used a high-gloss silver coating and raceway pattern on Racing Silver to restore a glossy sense of light. It also comes in Racing Blue version that uses offset gradient coating and high gloss silver coating process to present a premium mirror effect to bring out the sense of light better. The phone packs a 5000mAh with 18W fast charging compared to 30W charging in the 4G version.

Priced at Rs. 15,999, the phone will be available from Flipkart, realme.com and offline stores starting from June 30th. Buyers get Rs. 500 off on first sale on all the platforms.
