Things to keep in mind before updating to realme UI 2.0 Early Access version!

There must be at least 5 GB free storage on the device and the device must not be rooted. realme advises to backup personal data before proceeding with the process and says that there may be unpredictable effects on your phone which might affect day to day performance, but that’s something obvious considering these are Early Access builds. realme also warns that some functions may not operate properly because of third-party firmware incompatibility. Check out the details below,

realme X3 series device users will not be able to use Starry Mode, Pro Night Mode, and they might also face Camera lag when record and playback the 960FPS slow-motion video.

Pro Night Mode, 960fps slow-motion function, DC dimming function will not be available for realme X2 users in realme UI 2.0 for now. The company says that these features will be back in future updates. Users will also face issues with Portrait modes such as Portrait mode freezes and portrait filter selected in portrait mode freezes and crashes.

realme 6 users are likely to encounter Swipe-up gestures lag and screen stuck under some scenarios. Also, the company says that there is a low probability that the virtual button window will be transparent when calling out in the game. So, keep that in mind before you update your device.

realme recommends that realme C12 and realme C15 users must use virtual buttons navigation after updating to realme UI 2.0 for now as Android 11 update will temporarily disable the Swipe-up gestures. Realme will bring back the functionality with future updates. realme C series users will also face lag in some scenes including lags when users switch to the desktop using the Swipe gesture from both sides.

Can I roll back my device to Android 10?

Yes, realme provides an option to rollback to Android 10. Though, the company warns users that their personal data will be erased if they want to roll back to Android 10 based realme UI 1.0. Also, users will not receive Early Access version update after they roll-back to Android 10.
