Xiaomi launches Mi Express Kiosks in India to sell smartphones and mobile accessories

Xiaomi has launched Mi Express Kiosk initiative across India. The Mi Express Kiosks are vending machines which allow consumers to purchase Xiaomi smartphones and mobile accessories directly. You can pay using credit cards, debit cards, cash and UPI for the products.

This lets consumers directly get the products eliminating operational and cost inefficiencies for the consumers. Xiaomi  says that this provides its latest smartphones to its Mi Fans at an honest pricing, similar to that of Mi Homes and Mi.com.

With this Xiaomi becomes the first ever brand in the Indian tech industry to introduce this innovative retail model, which also offers the efficiency of e-commerce business making it a cost-effective approach and is scalable. “All technology equipping Mi Express Kiosks has been researched and developed in India, further extending the brand’s commitment to India,” said the company.

Mi Express Kiosks are now available in Manyata Tech Park and Xiaomi’s office in Embassy Tech Village (ETV) in Bengaluru. Xiaomi plans to set up 50 more  kiosks in the coming months, and gradually expand the retail plan across metro cities in public areas with greater footfall such as tech parks, metro stations, airports, and shopping malls.
