Vivo today launched V5, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone in the ‘V series’ in India. We have got our hands on the phone so let’s take a detailed look at the hardware and specifications of the phone in this photo gallery.
The Vivo V5 sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor with Mali T860 GPU. Running Funtouch OS 2.6 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), the phone comes with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and expandable memory up to 128GB.
The highlight of the phone is its 20MP front-facing camera with Moonlight Flash, Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 5p lens. Also present at the front are earpiece and usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors.
The phone has a physical home button at the center which comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor. Vivo claims the fingerprint sensor unlocks the phone in just 0.2 seconds.
Present on the left side of the phone is a hybrid dual SIM slot that can take one micro SIM and one nano SIM or microSD. The power button and volume rockers are present on the right.
A 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, micro USB port and loud speaker grills are present at the bottom. It comes with AK4376 audio chip. The phone measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55mm and weighs 154 grams.
There is a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF at the back. The phone has a unibody metal design. At the back you can see antenna bands on top and lower back. The Vivo branding is present at the center.
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS and has USB OTG support. It comes with a 3000mAh battery. The Vivo V5 is priced at Rs. 17,980 and will be available from November 26th.
