Skype 5.5 for iPhone brings interactive notifications for iOS 8

Skype 5.5 for iPhone

Microsoft has updated the Skype app for iPhone to version 5.5 that brings support for interactive notifications for the users running the new iOS 8. The interactive notifications lets you answer voice and videos calls and open text in skype directly from the lock screen and the notification center. You can swipe left from the lock screen to reveal the notification options and swipe down from the notification center to reveal these options. You have to enable interactive notifications for Skype from Settings -> Notifications.

Back in June Skype for iPhone got a major redesign that brought a sleek and cleaner UI. The new version also brings some general improvements. Upcoming versions of Skype would make use of new integrations offered in iOS 8 says Microsoft. Check out the complete changelog that lists the set of interactive notifications.
