Videocon launches 6 new SuperNet data plans starting at Rs. 5

Videocon Mobile Services has launched 6 new SuperNet 2G data plans. Videocon says that these SuperNet plans offers upto 3 times more internet data than other service providers. These are aimed at bringing connectivity, entertainment and knowledge for the emerging Indian market, especially the students and working professionals. Supreme Court of India cancels 122 2G licenses

The Supreme Court of India has cancelled 122 2G licenses issued by the Government on after 10th Jan 2008. This cancellation affects customers of Uninor,Videocon,MTS ,Loop Telecom , Etisalat , Idea Cellular, STel and Tata Docomo in 22 circles. The court order will come into effect in 4 months and you might have to use MNP to port your number to another operator who is not affected.

Verizon discontinuing Droid 2 in favor of Droid 2 World edition?

BGR is reporting that Verizon is going to drop the Motorola Droid 2, and they will replace it with the Droid 2 World edition, which can tun on GSM/HSPA networks. That’s a good news for the people who are looking forward to the Droid 2, because if you love traveling other countries, then the world edition would be good for you. But if you already bought the phone, then this might be a bad news for you, but I don’t think so because the only different thing will be the radio frequencies, everything else would be same. This news is not 100% confirmed and not written on stone. So folks stay tuned with us, because we will keep you updated with it.

By the way I was thinking, isn’t Verizon thinking to replace it with LTE 4G version of Droid 2, What do you say?’
