Microsoft announced the Lumia 640 XL back in March at the MWC 2015. It comes in three variants, and the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM was launched in India in April, but the company is yet to launch the LTE version of the smartphone in the country. We managed to get the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual SIM from the US for $175 that converts to about Rs. 11,160. Check out the unboxing.

Apart from 4G connectivity, other features of the smartphone are similar to the 3G variant of the Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM. It has a 5.7-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Windows Phone 8.1. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with expansion and a 3000mAh removable battery. The back cover has smooth matte finish, which offers a better grip.

It has support for LTE FDD bands: 1 (2100 MHz), 17 (700MHz), 2 (1900 MHz), 20 (800MHz), 3 (1800 MHz), 4 (1700/2100 MHz), 5 (850MHz), 7 (2600 MHz), 8 (900MHz), 28 (700 MHz), 12 (700 MHz), TD-LTE bands: 38 (2570-2620 MHz), 40 (2300-2400 MHz) and 41 (2500 MHz). The smartphone is expected to launch in India soon, but no word on the exact launch date yet.
