
Nokia India has launched 4 new mobile phones in the country. These are the entry level models namely the 2690 , 1800 , 1616 and the 1280 . These phones were first announced for Indonesia back in November last year and now they have made their way to states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in India.

BSNL has launched a new handset to promote its 3G services with the Huawei U7510 which is a BREW based phone with a Touchscreen.The handset is being sold bundled with Free Video Calls , Talk Time and 3G Data usage in Tamil Nadu

Nokia seems to have a launched a fully loaded phone – the Nokia C3 , at a very affordable price. It’s the world’s first QWERTY phone based on the S40 platform. Till now S40 phones had only T9 keypads which were not comfortable to type a lot. The C3 brings messaging and social networking to the masses. It comes with Nokia Messaging tailored for Series 40 meaning that you can open an email account without having to logon to a PC if you are those parts of the world where PCs don’t exist.
