MTS has partnered with Lava Mobiles to launch the Lava L661, one of the most affordable CDMA phone in India. It has a 1.8-inch TFT screen, keypad supports single thumb usage and a micro SD card slot with expandable memory of up-to 4GB.  It comes with MTS unlimited talk plans. It supports speaker phone and has a lot of  utility features including Alarm, Calculator, Calendar, Predictive text T9, Vcard, Group SMS, Scheduler and MTS info. Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under the MTS brand has expanded its CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network to 4 more cities, Bhiwadi, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur in Rajasthan. MTS launched the world’s first CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in India back in September 2011 starting from Jaipur. At that time MTS had also launched MBlaze Ultra dongle that offers internet speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps. MTS that operates under Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) has launched the Duet, the company’s latest dual SIM Android smartphone. The phone has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) HVGA capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It supports CDMA on SIM card and GSM on the other. The phone comes bundled with voice & data plan. It comes with 3-megapixel rear camera, supports expandable memory up to 32GB and packs a 1200 mAh battery. Vsevolod Rozanov, who is with the SSTL since October 2008 is set to move to senior position in Sistema JSFC Headquarters in Moscow. MTS wins 8 circles in 800 MHz CDMA spectrum auction, to stop services in 3 more circles

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that nationally operates its telecom services under the MTS brand has announced that that have won spectrum in the 800 MHz band in eight circles including Delhi, Kolkata, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh (West) & West Bengal. MTS has launched their new Android Smartphone MTag 353. It is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 Processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), similar to the MTag 351, MTag 352 and MTag 281 that was launched in August. MTS launches mAd, lets you make free local calls by watching Video Ads


MTS has launched a new Mobile Advertising Service called mAd. This service would let the customers watch a short video Ad on their device before a call and get free local calling minutes. It doesn’t have any activation charges, application download charges and data transfer charges while viewing video ads.
