Samsung launched Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in India last month starting at Rs. 57900. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the camera samples from the smartphone. The Galaxy S8 has a 12MP autofocus rear camera with 1.4µm pixel size, 1/2.55″ sensor size, f/1.7 aperture, 77-degree FOV, Smart OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and utilizes the same Dual Pixel image sensor that was first introduced with the Galaxy S7. Compared to 5MP fixed-focus front camera on the Galaxy S7, this has an 8MP autofocus front camera with facial recognition technology, f/1.7 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, 1/3.6″ sensor size and 80-degree FOV.

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q1 2017, in which the company has made operating profit of 9.90 trillion won ($8.7 billion), up 48.20% YoY for the quarter that ended March 31, 2017. This is its second biggest quarter ever and its highest ever for Q1, mainly to due to increase in memory and display businesses. It reported revenue of 50.55 trillion won (US$ $44.7), a slight increase from 49.78 trillion won last year and net profit of 7.68 trillion won (US$6.8 billion), a 46% increase from 5.25 trillion won for the same period a year earlier. Samsung has announced that it will roll out software patches for its flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone after some complained of reddish tint on the screen and WiFi issue that doesn’t let them connect to WiFi networks. Samsung said that neither the screen hue nor the Wi-Fi issue were product defects, and that it was offering fixes simply for consumers’ comfort.
