LG Optimus 3D Max Android Smartphone unveiled

LG has unveiled the Optimus 3D MAX, successor of the LG Optimus 3D that was launched last year. This is the international variant of the Optimus 3D Cube  that was announced for SK Telecom in Korea earlier today. It has 4.3-inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection that would offer Glasses-Free 3D viewing and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It is just 9.6mm thick and weighs 148g with metallic and rounded edges as the previous rumors suggested. It comes D-style cubicle icons that could also be customized with Icon Customizer app and also has enhanced 3D Converter to convert Google Maps and other road views into 3D. LG Optimus 3D Cube with 4.3-inch wide angle IPS display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and NFC announced

LG has announced Optimus 3D Cube, successor of their flagship 3D smartphone, LG Optimus 3D that was launched last year. This new 3D smartphone comes with 4.3 inches wide viewing angle (IPS) LCD display. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 version Gingerbread. It has Dual 5MP auto focus cameras with LED flash and secondary VGA camera. It comes with unique features such as My Suit that lets you edit icons with custom image, 3D editing tool and has NFC that also comes wit hLG Tag Plus (Tag +). It is just 9.6mm thick and weighs 148g that is said to be one of the world’s thinnest and lightest 3D phone till date. LG Optimus LTE Tag announced with 4.3-inch IPS display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and NFC

LG has announced the LG Optimus LTE Tag, new Android phone with NFC Support. This comes with 4.3-inch IPS display and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash and 1.3MP  front facing camera. The LG NFC tag+ provided with the phone changes the phone into car mode automatically when it’s near that tag. This enables you to turn on the navigation system in the phone and could be programmed to turn on Bluetooth, GPS and raise the volume. It also comes with LTE support. LG Optimus 3D 2 to be thinner and lighter, expected at MWC 2012

The LG Optimus 3D 2, successor of the first Optimus 3D would be thinner and lighter according to ETNews. The successor would be just 9.8mm thick that is 2mm thinner than the existing Optimus 3D at 11.9mm. It is also said to weigh 20g lesser than its predecessor. LG teases Optimus Vu Android smartphone with 5-inch display and 4:3 aspect ratio

LG has posted a teaser video of their new Android Smartphone, Optimus Vu that would come with  a 5-inch display with 4:3 aspect ratio. This would have 1024 x 768 pixels IPS display and powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor according to Datacider. It would run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. IDC: Mobile Phone Market Q4 2011 – Nokia, Samsung and Apple top mobile phone vendors by shipments


Nokia, Samsung and Apple are the leading Mobile vendors by shipments in Q4 2011 and for the whole 2011, according to a report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation). The worldwide mobile phone market grew 6.1% year over year in the Q4 2011 with shipments of 427.4 million which is 6.1% more compared to 402.8 million units in the Q4 2010. LG to introduce triple sim devices in Russia

Most of the handset makers stick with the traditional single sim phones, there are only a few top handset makers who have introduced dual sim phones some of them are Samsung and Motorola, manufacturer still do not prefer coming out with dual sim phones but LG has gone one step further and will now be bringing out a triple sim device.

Dual SIM phones have been quite popular in emerging markets and among users requiring the use of two numbers on a single handset but triple SIM phones haven’t found much of a market yet. Marketed by a few Chinese manufacturers , we’ve yet to see large scale adoption of the tech by the larger OEMs.

LG Optimus L3 E400, a new unannounced Android smartphone is on pre-order from a online retailer in Sweden. It comes with a 3.2-inch (240 x 320 pixels) display and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. LG Optimus LTE shipments exceed 1 million globally

LG has announced that they have shipped 1 million units of Optimus LTE, their first phone to come with LTE support and HD display. They announced the Optimus LTE in Korea last October for SK Telecom (SKT) and LG U+ that was popular from the first day in Korea that sold 5,000 units on the first day of the launch.
