Letv, one of the popular smartphone makers in China is all set to enter the Indian market next month with the launch of the Le Max smartphone. Today at its preview event in Bangalore it confirmed that the Le Max smartphone will launch in the country sometime mid-January 2016. The company recently scheduled a preview event in Delhi on January 5th where it will showcase the Le Max smartphone.

Letv has announced that it will be conducting its first ever meetup in multiple cities in India starting from this month for its fans and bloggers in the country that would let them experience Letv’s products before it goes on sale in India. “Letv had conducted a poll on its forum a while ago asking fans to cite their city preferences for the Le Meetups. Letv introduced its Le 1s smartphone at an event in China last at a competitive price tag of 1099 Chinese Yuan ( US$ 172 / Rs. 11240 approx.). Today the company has announced that the company has made over US$2 billion in the week after launch event. Letv Le 1s pre-orders have crossed more than 11 million units amounting to 12.1 billion Yuan (US$1.91 billion). The smartphone goes on sale in China starting from today. Letv today introduced uMax120, the company’s first 120-inch 3D 4K TV at its event in China, along with the Le 1s smartphone. The display panel has 680nit ~ 800nit screen brightness, has 120Hz refresh rate and supports H.265 hardware decoding. It runs on EUI TV UI based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Letv, one of the popular video network operators in China today introduced Le 1s, successor of the Le 1 smartphone that was introduced earlier this year. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with slim bezel. It is just 74.2mm wide, slimmer than last year’s Le 1Pro. It is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC and runs on Android Lollipop based on EUI 5.5. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that can focus an object in just 0.09 seconds.
