Snapdeal ties up with Aircel for bundled data offers on phones sold on the website

Snapdeal and Aircel, one of the popular online retailer in India, has partnered with Aircel, one of India’s leading telecom operators, to offer free data to customers buying data enabled phones. These customers can get up to 3GB of free 2G or 3G data valid for 3 months. Micromax partnered with Aircel last year for bundled offers on smartphones and 3G Dongles. OPlus launches XonPad 7 tablet with 1.2 Ghz Quad Core processor, 7″ display for Rs. 9,990

OPlus has partnered with Snapdeal to launch a new 7 inch tablet called the XonPad7. The tablet is powered by a 1.2Ghz Quad Core Processor built on the 28nm process which should help increase battery longevity a bit. The specifications include 1GB of RAM as well as a 3G capabilities which means that you’ll be able to pop in a SIM card and surf the internet without having to rely on WiFI connectivity. The tablet is capable of voice calling.

You also the standard WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The XonPad7 has a 5MP rear facing camera and a 2MP front facing shooter. Users get Android 4.2 onboard the tablet. There’s 16GB of storage that can be expanded thanks to the microSD card slot. The battery rated at 3,500 mAh should be good enough for over a day of usage. The display has a resolution of 1280 x 800 which is just about sufficient for a 7 inch panel. Being an IPS display, viewing angles are quite decent. OPlus has partnered with Snapdeal for online distribution. The tablet is priced at Rs. 9,990.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 now available on Snapdeal for Rs.24,900


Yesterday, Samsung unveiled two new Galaxy devices at a launch event in Chennai. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 are the two new entrants to the new Mega series of devices solely focused on big screened smartphone computing. Out of the two devices launched, which were set to be available in India real soon, we already have the Galaxy Mega 5.8 listed as available on Snapdeal, the online retailer for a price of Rs. 24,900 which is two hundred rupees lesser than the launch price of Rs. 25,100. Although it is currently listed as sold out, we think that the devices are already trickling down into the retail channels and you will be able to get the device sooner than what Samsung said, we feel.
