Google has rolled an update to the Home App that brings a refreshed new look, better recommendations, meaning it is now easy to find movies, shows, music with better search and with more control over the Home device.For those on Android, can now cast movie trailers on to the connected TV while still browsing content on your phone. Android 8.0 Oreo adoption rate climbs to 0.3%, Nougat hits 20.6%

The latest Android distribution numbers for November are in, and they show that Android 8.0 Oreo is now on 0.3% devices, while Nougat retains to close to 17.6% devices. Though features wise Google is doing a great job, it is the adoption that is moving slow.

Google’s first India Cloud Platform region launched in Mumbai

Google today has announced the first cloud region in India which goes live in Mumbai. India’s cloud region will join other regions like Singapore, Taiwan, Sydney and Tokyo in Asia Pacific region. Google said that hosting applications in the new region can improve latency from 20-90% for end users in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and of course Mumbai, compared to hosting them in the closest region, Singapore.
