Facebook introduces Marketplace for local buying and selling

In a bid to allow users to discover, buy and sell items locally, Facebook has launched its Marketplace. The feature will appear as a “shop” icon at the bottom of the Facebook app and will allow users to list or search for items on sale in their community.

Facebook tests Snapchat Stories style feature for Messenger

Dubbed as Messenger Day, the feature lets users upload photos and videos, with filters and doodle on them. You can create slideshow of these photos and videos which will disappear in 24 hours. Facebook is testing an Express WiFi service in India and is in talks with  Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for a commercial launch. The social network has completed a pilot roll out of 125 rural public Wi-Fi hotspots in the country with a tie-up with state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.
